So, yesterday was a great day because I lived through it. Sure, my van is totaled and my knee is wrecked and my neck and shoulders hurt every time I move, but I am alive.
Here is what it looks like when a Chevy Silverado runs a red light and hits a Dodge Minivan:
And, here is what a knee that gets crushed when a Silverado runs a red light and collides with a minivan looks like:
Yeah. It hurts, but it's not broken, the kids weren't in the van, and I'm alive, so yesterday was a very, very good day.
Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heavens,
you who have done great things.
Who is like you, God?
Though you have made me see troubles,
many and bitter,
you will restore my life again;
from the depths of the earth
you will again bring me up.
You will increase my honor
and comfort me once more.
I will praise you with the harp
for your faithfulness, my God;
I will sing praise to you with the lyre,
Holy One of Israel.
My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praise to you—
I whom you have delivered. (Pslam 71:19-22)
Gotta scoot, sitting at the computer hurts.
Count your blessings, friends!
Glad you are okay!
ReplyDeleteI'm so thankful. Really.
ReplyDelete(((hugs)))
Oh, my! I cannot imagine the fear that must have swept over you. I'm glad you are okay and the children were not with you. Take care.
ReplyDeleteAmen! So glad God's hand was on you in that accident... take care of yourself, Shirlee! Praying you are up and feeling better soon :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of airbags! I'm so glad there is a happy ending and I hope your knee and everything else feel better quickly. And happy van shopping?
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!!! SO SO glad you are okay, and that no kiddos were in the car!! REST, take some pain meds, and I'm praying the achyness stops SOON (I was rearended by an 18 wheeler when I was 6 months prego with #3... just seeing those pictures is bringing back memory of that shoulder/neck pain!)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, so glad you are ok. Praying for a quick healing.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are okay. Sorry your van got hurt :( Will pray for you to be healed - that the muscles will soften and ease and release, that the knee will heal and be restored. Rest, my friend, rest.
ReplyDeleteI read this post a while ago, my heart seized up and I held my breath. I lose my father in such an accident a few years ago, chose not to see the vehicle afterwards, but I am sure it did not look too different than yours. What a miracle you survived, you and your family surely counted your blessings. I know you hugged them all a lot closer as they did you.
ReplyDeleteHope you have healed.
